For example th one of EIR 1.0C :)

Ok.

Yes, not very convenient for the first time, but only needed once. But
you could also have your special own local copy of the eir10c.conf in
any path you like. For example on your desktop.

Yes. But also the path where your NutOS is located. Save you eir10c.conf
wherever you like. For example in your project folder or on your
desktop.

No... You saved it in you favorite place. Perhaps (q)nutconf has a list
of "Recently used" conf files?

Perhaps... But I would just save another copy of the file. Call it
eir10c-4.8.conf for example, and just change the NutOS tree.

Ok, but they are lost with the current solution too, right?

It's just an idea. Perhaps an additional feature that one could but does
not have to use.

Today I always have to update my setting if I called NutOS from any
other directory (version) and used the same config file again. Not much
better.

In short words:

I would like a solution that is

a) independent of the NutOS path
b) can handle different NutOS trees even if they will be moved some time
c) can handle different project configurations (e.g. eir10c.conf)
d) these config files does not neet to be located in the nut/conf tree

And saving everything that the configurator needs to know in just one
file was my first intention.

Bye,

Ole
